HI to everyone , can you tell me if the MRL Ulfberht Sword can be used in a cutting test ?? I mean in cardboard tubes and tests like that ..
By the other hand the tang seems strong ( maybe am wrong ) for a combat ... but If I buy it , I'll use it just for the cutting test .
OK guys , what do you think??

As far as I know, the Ulfberht sword is made just like their other swords, it just has the fancy lettering on the blade. So, yes, if you sharpen it, it should be fine for cutting.

I believe that Kreigschwert is right.
However, I'd like you to get this sword for a more personal reason: It has the dimenshions of the albion reeve and I'd like to see how well it functions! It referring to both the reeve and the ulfbehrt ;D

HI Rammstein ! , I've never seen the sword in that point of view ,,it sound good! few moments ago I saw the reeve in Albion's site and well it's almost identical just for the grip that it's different kind of leather, I mean in the MRL seems wrapped like straps, the weight 2 lbs 6.8 oz (albion) vs. 3lbs (MRL) and the pommel brazilnut shape it's the same . I just think viewing the picture and dimensions ..how faster could be this sword (MRL) in combat ?

I think the albion would be a few notches better honestly, but the MRL should give it a nice run for its money!
