Yesterday i had nothing to do so i when to my workshop and made this. So i bet your saying what in the hell am i looking at.Well it the latest and greatest thing for iaidoka. Its a tsuba. I have seen many katanas without the tsuba or a substitute. The only problem in when drawing the katana you must first disengage the katana from the saya to do this you push the tsuba with your thumb. But what happens when there's nothing to push, i fix that problem with a small nub just a bit right of the center of the Ha.So far it work good i'll try in with some cutting when i get a chance. So please let me know what you think of this new idea.

Not a fan at all tbh.... I like the traditional look of a tsuba. What if you made like a tanto sized tsuba one thats just about as wide as the thumb nob on that?

I like the idea of it. But I too also prefer an actual tsuba. Looks cool though, tiger pattern!

It's interesting. Not my thing, but interesting nonetheless.
Good on ya for thinking outside the box.

Very nice, color me interested.
How about a tsuba with a much smaller circumference? Think of it as a "tanto-like tsuba" (don't really know the right word lol) for a katana.
