KOA says it weighs s little under 2 pounds, which seems about right, but the POB is over 9 inches out. They also list it has having not much distal taper, although I don't know if this is cause of the pipe/ridge thing at the tip or not. Would a weight of 1 pound 15 oz and a 9 inch POB be historically accurate for this type of sword?

I had the British version of this sword, the P1821 LC officer's sword. It weighed 1 lb. 12 oz., but these weights varied from maker to maker. I think 1 lb. 15 oz. is within the acceptable range, but a 9 in. PoB sounds really wild, IMO.

Yeah, KOA says that Sabre is like 5.7 mm thick an inch from the tip! In the pictures it looks like it might get thicker at the tip due to a ridge thing it has, although I can't tell.

Just measured up my 1821 LC and it's 8.00mm at the ricasso, tapers to5mm 13 inches from the tip and then the last few inches are 2.4 mm across the at the widest part. POB is just under 5 inches. Weight 1lb 12oz. Lack of proper distal taper is what spoils the handling of many, otherwise nice, reproduction swords
