Hello! I'm thinking of buying the windlass Hungarian saber. Has anyone ever handled one? How durable is it? Is it a good cutter? How does it handle? Does anyone have any other suggestions on sabers of similar style? Here's the link. kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=501084

Been kinda interested in that one in the past, since I love the profile on the blade. These days it strikes me as somewhat flat, though. I prefer blades with fullers and discernable bevels to show they have some character.

Thats exactly it!!!
There was something about that Saber that put me off, and I chalked it up to not liking the furniture, but it is the lack of a fuller.
A simple thin fuller along the spine would kick that Saber up a level in my opinion. Might not be accurate historically, but from an aesthetic view it would rock.

Actually, I loved the way shasqua handled last time I saw it in a shop. I love light blades but with far out PoB.
