About the Effigy sword from Windlass, I think it's a Oakeshott type XV, or possibly a type XVI, although I'm not overly familiar with the typology system. What do you think it is? (If you don't know of the sword I'm referring to... www.museumreplicas.com/p-215-effigy-sword.aspx )

It's the shiny, pointy type. ;D Sorry, couldn't resist. Seriously, I'd be interested to know as well. I'm not good at such classifications, but even so, this one seems a bit debatable... -Slayer

Seems like a version of XIIIa or XIIIb, but I'm just guessing. I'm certain somebody with more knowledge than I have will be able to help.

Type XV does not have fullers as far as I know. Possibly a type XVI but the profile taper is not quite right.

While the type XV generally didnĀ“t have fullers, it sometimes rarely did. But because of the way the tip tapers I would say this is a XVIII more so then a fullered XV.
