Thanks, it has the typ X blade I need, and I'll use the wheel pommel and hilt on my DSA blade witch will make it into a 1200's to 1300's cut and thrust.....
Then! I will have the Norse sword I have been looking for!! Some times Ya just got to make it your self, even if its mix and match!!

I'm just waiting for Windlass to release a High Evil Sword, then I'll be all set . . . .
Sanmarc: There's just something special about doing it for yourself. I can't talk about swords (yet!), even in terms of parts swapping and remodeling, but I've done it in other spheres/areas, and for me, there's no beating the feeling of taking something that was mass produced and making it "just right" for me, right to my taste. We'll need before and afters, if you please!

Oh course I'm going to take before and after pics, As some one who makes thing my self all the time, like custom motorcycles, it just seems like the thing to do, but I do like what other people do as well. And what I'm doing is taking a midevil sword and making it into a lowevil sword!

Up date, sword is here!!! Wow, fast shipping from KOA!!!! I'm under the weather right now so the revue will have to wait, but the box was on my door step be for lunch, was sick so I was here to get it, no not a coincident! Opened up the box and no sword? !!!!! No worry, it was so well wrapped up in brown paper it was just hiding in there!! ;D Unwrapped it and took a real good look at it, first the scabbard, well it is leather cored, not to bad, but will flop just a little, nice leather, For some reason India has better leather than the Philippines.(Hint,Hint) The sword fit well, and on to the sword. Nice leather on the handle with the sewn seam on one edge, over wood core, fits not to bad in my hand. The pommel counters the blade well and the cross guard is well done and bigger than what I'm used to. (Viking) The blade has just the right amount of fuller and ends almost all the way to the tip...Just the way I like it, it is a little thicker than the Windlass "Sword of the viking king" so not as whippy, has a little flex, but what I would expect for a type X blade. 33" long! 2" wide at the hilt. 1/8th thick at its thickest part, the ridges of the fuller. LOA is 39 1/2" Blade is 33" long POB is 5" Grip is 3 7/8" long Blade type X Pommel type I Hilt type VII From about 1300 Anno Domini I look forward to putting a edge on it and doing some cutting!! Hope you enjoyed this mini revuei...SanMarc.

Yep, I need the blade for my Viking sword, and the pommel and crossguard will go on the DSA blade to bring it up to the right time period....SanMarc.
