I don't care for the Cherusker. I haven't seen a lot of spathas I care for but I like that one, especially the hilt.

yeah I'm not sure about the Cherusker either. I like the idea that Albion are expanding their range in to new directions, but given the simplicity of the Cherusker I find it difficult to understand the price. $800 for what amounts to a simple blade and two wooden scales, just seems to much even if it is an Albion.

Ah, but that's the point- it's an Albion. If they charge a cheaper price, it devalues the brand in people's minds. Actually I kinda like it. But I wouldn't pay $800 for it! It looks quite a bit like a messer. I wonder if the target market is the germanic-type HEMA crowd? Something to appeal to their fondness for historical lineage? Cheers Marc E
