(still being rather new to forums, I saw a thread for peoples new acquired items, but seemed to have lost its location , so I hope this is no inconvenience that I post this here.)\ I realize this is not a sword, but I loved this gift my father in law got me so much, just had to post some pix. It is a Vietnam war USAF Fighter Pilots Combat Survival knife (from my research that is, if you know any more information supporting OR correcting, it is very much welcomed.) From what I have read/been told, the 2 holes on the guard are some form of wire strippers. But, as I have told my Mother time and time again, "Don't believe EVERYTHING you read on GOOGLE!". It has a peened pommel, thick leather grip, and the width of the "serrated" back of the blade is 3mm thick. The blade length is 5" (sorry to go from metric to imperial), while total length is 9.5". Not to sure as to the weight (as my baking scale had dead batteries ) but I'm going to speculate that it weighs about 12-15oz. The markings at the base of the blade read: _____ CamilluS New York U.S.A.
