I'm looking for a stright blade or normal katana that has a different coloration than regular steel, will last a long time after being banged around (possibly spring steel), retain it's edge and color mostly, requires low maintenance, and be light in weight. Possibly within the 50$ to 500$ Price range. Figure I could use some opinions on where to go for something like this.

$50 - $500 covers alot of different swords, ranging from very low to fairly high quality. Can you narrow it down a bit perhaps?

Yeah, I love this blade, but there seems to be problems with the color cracking off supposedly. This is one of my top picks atm though. Seems to be the only one really. ~_~
