This mahcete from Cambodia costs 5€ (less than $10) in a Finnish auction. The seller doesnt offer other information and the pic shows its lenght is 52cm (20.5 in). Does it look worth the money?

Impossible to know unless someone happens to recognize the exact item. Does it even say what the machete is made out of? It kind of looks like a cheap stainless 'fantasy ninja sword' with the paracord wrap and overall design, but I could be wrong... For $10, though, it's not much of a gamble, so you don't really have anything to lose. If it's not worth keeping, you could always list it on Ebay and get your $ back. -Slayer

That looks like a badass machete. Hopefully someone knows what it is so I can add it to my camping equipment!

It looks like it'll cut stuff; so yea, acceptable. You can't go wrong for $10, even if it was a BudK exclusive.

This looks more like on over-sized Rambo knives than a machete. The handle looks awfully thin and uncomfortable also.

Looks ok for the price but i'd go for quality not price. Yes, I already lost my interest on this knife for this reason. Other reason is that its too modern, and there are seaxes available that will suit me better.

If you were looking for a seax, this was a far cry from it.

I had never seen a machete like that though. I always think keep money aside till you have enough for what you REALLY want.

Yes. It's kinda big for a knife, but small for a machete. If it is made out of stainless it would be too brittle at that length to be safe to use. I have a knife with a similar design so I do like the look but it's much shorter than this one.

Cambodia knows a thing or two about combat 'cause they have been fighting war since mid 60's all the way through mid 90's .This would be something that soldier would carried but $10 is about 41,700 Riel (Cambodian currency ) or 340 baht (Thai currency ) so I doubt any low rank soldier can ever afford one of this . I would just get it because it came from Cambodia (or Kamchea ) ,remember people, Cambodian build Ankha wat which is one of seven wonder of the world

My friend just told me this is not a "Cambodian Machete". She said there were many different forms of jungle knifes traditionally used in Cambodia but still this knife has nothing "Cambodian" in it, even if it might be made in Cambodia. She also asked me to put these picks to give examples of what sort of "machete" tools are known there. Because she thinks it's not fair to compare a cheap looking product with high end products these are cheap too. This is originally cheap but its old and this only makes it cost more than this $10. Bare blades

Bare blades Your friend are absolutely right that it is not Cambodian machete but I would not consider it a cheap knock off machete . I think the seller should described it more like a jungle /combat/trench knife instead of machete. The design has Rambo flavor all over it and I knew Rambo (the first 3 parts ) were very popular in S.E. Asia during 90's . The interesting about all of this is the fact that Cambodia emerges from horrific long war andstart her economic recovery and able to offer product to the world market is a cause to celebrate . I would love to get one of this just for that reason alone but this one is very illegal in California
