If you do review it could you put in a picture of where the sword meets the guard? thanks. I might still get this sword. This one or a H/T bastard.

This one or a H/T? That's not even a question, you get a sword or a metal beater. Pick the H/T, seriously, it's one of the very best sub 400$ swords.

I own it, I probably should review it... it's a great sword, very lively in the hands. The guard and pommel could definitely be slimmed down, but I'm cool with it as is. It's my favourite DSA, and I own several. I would love to see a review, still not sure if I want this, or if I want to save up for the VA Warder sword.

While I admit the H/T are among the best performing swords in their pricerange... even they are not without flaws. They require sharpening, they are VERY plain... I'm not a fan of the fiberglass scabbard... and some do not like the hex-nut. Yes, the H/T will perform as a sword better then the DSA... but the H/T has very little in the way of style and flash... the Nomad has a love it or hate it design... those that like it will really like it, its unique looking. Its sure to be very tough, its peened for those that want that... and the scababrds are much improved and leather of wood core. The two options are different... but the H/T is not automaticly the better option as you suggest, it depends what the buyer is more interested in, what they care more about. We must TRY to remember that not everyone likes/wants the same things... and that our own personal prefrence does NOT make one product better then another product... just better for US.

It may be a little late but I wanted to share my opinion on the sword. I'm glad to read that some of you like it, even own and find it good.
Unfortunately It was not the same for me.
I waited nearly a year for it to be done. I was the one who design it, and asked DSA to make it, even though it is not exactly as I design it, I do like how it came out (but agree about the bulky guard and pommel) . It was not a problem to wait, I actually agreed to wait that long.
The problem was that after waiting I finally received the sword, took it out of the box, unwrapped the plastic cover and found stains in the chape. I decided not to panic, but seconds later, when I was about to unsheathe it, I realized the leather wrap on the hilt was coming off.
I finally unsheathed the sword a little disappointed, examined the blade, which has a lot of scratches, not that I mind, since I intend to use it a lot, but just wanted to point it out. The last and most disappointing flaw was that about two inches of the blade, near the tip, are narrower than the rest of the blade, so the tip looks wider from one side. Obviously this was a mistake made during the sharpening process (since I payed for the sharpening service) which is not that good either, the sword feels almost blunt.
I'm not whining, well maybe just a little, but I thank DSA for accepting my design, and making it real. The thing is that I wanted to share my experience with everyone, I just hope it only happened and ever happens to me (with this sword obviously).
Looking at the bright side, I plan to do some customizations, hope it goes well.

I own 9 different DSA swords, and never could come to grips with the looks of the Nomad. No offense to you Anstrud, I am sure that getting your design accepted and produced is a great feeling, it is just not my cup O tea.

Non taken, but as I said before, it is not the same as my design, the handle and pommel are completely different from what I drew

I second that motion. I would like to see your original concept for the sword also.
