Avery's pics of his axes got me thinking I'd never posted pics of my stuff all together. I took some pics of my axes, swords and daggers that I thought would be of general interest here. I left out knives, flails, hammers, shields and pole arms, basically cause they won't fit on the table. I also left out some of the long bladed weapons that are well known, kindjels, quamas and the like.

Top clockwise- Discontinued Windlass (matches the wire wrap on my AT1520 in bottom pic) Windlass sword hilted dag in steel (the quickee wrap matches the quickee wrap on my AT1417 bottom pic) Windlass dag, Windlass Belt dagger, Windlass( I believe Mercenary dagger, I bought from Odingard because the bergundy wrap he did matches my AT1503 bottom pic), Windlass Sword hilted dag in brass (the quickee wrap matches the 1417 and was done prior to the steel hilted one-- Yeah I like my blades to have matching dags) Old Dag I picked up at a Gun Show almost 30 years ago (at one time it matched the furniture on a AT1505- since sold) Bottom top Windlass Raven Claw (matches the AT1555 bottom pic big surprise right- ) Finally one of the Windlass Bane(I picked it up because it was a limited edition (not really keen on this one, I'll eventually get around to grounding down the blade to a more useable piece)

Next up axes; bottom left to right- Hanwei Bearded, Drop forged hawk, brassheaded hawk, windlass Viking handaxe (yes I know the head is inverted- I wanted to see how it would work as a camp axe- the answer is- I am going to remount it correctly)
Windlass Fantasy Axe ( the axe itself is fine but the haft is godawful and I plan on reshaping the bottom portion as gripping a square haft is anything but comfortable) Old Windlass Bearded Axe (picked this one up when Windlass first debuted in MRL- around 88) Windlass Bronze Age, Lewis and Clark replica axe (head isn't too bad for under $20 but it needes to be rehafted) The Long Axe above is A Windlass head mounted on a long tool handle ( I had sold off my longhandled Viking axe several years before so when a gentleman sent me this axe head in appreciation of some scabbard work I'd done I went out and found the longest tool handle I could find)
The two on top are my idea of what a Dwarven Axe should look like ( not mealy wood hafts, with the weight of a man and the lower center of gravity of a Dwarf its steel all the way) I used cord wrapped leather covered steel pipes, the pommel screw on and off and has a rubber o ring inside, the top is an epoxied plug so they are water proof and great for storing small files, tinder and fishing kits- Rambo ala Dwarf

The Swords left to Right: Windlass Cutlass (nice short blade and knuckleguard for those waterfront barroom brawls) Atrim 1417 (my personal favorite and retired way to early IMO I will evetually get around to rewrapping the grip and the dagger's grip), Atrim 1555 ( I blackened this one with a product called Blue Wonder- very easy to use if anyone is planning on blueing or blackening a blade or furniture in the near future, AT1557 This particular one will look familiar to many of you as it was a review sword, Windlass Type XIV (this is a project in the works sword - still working on the file work, the insert in the pommel is pertified mammoth tusk, Fletcherized AT 1520, Atrim 1503, Windlass (Limited run of 11) Rapier
