I don't know anything about Colt Knives... but Camillus is supposed to make good stuff. Cold Steel had their legendary 'Carbon V' knives made there before Camillus shut down... The only thing that concerns me is their mention of it being made for 420, which I believe is not know for good edge retention, but don't quote me on that. For $12 shipped? DEFINTELY worth the risk, IMO. You could end up getting a pretty fantastic knife, or a piece of junk that you could relist and possibly even make a few bucks off of. But if it's Camillus made, from what I've heard it should be good. Hope this helps! ;D -Slayer

Yeah I noticed the 420 SS; however in my little knowledge of steels, I think being just 10 inches long might trade off the brittleness of stainless steel on blades. Edge retention should be another issue though. Let's hope it is a diamond in the rough.......I'll keep an eye on it......any other opinions are very welcomed too!!!!

Well they say it is hardend, so depending on the carbon content, it should retain an edge for a while.....SanMarc.
It would make a great TAC knife for cheep!!!

420 Stainless steel has been used by Buck knives for at least 40 years but Buck at least the america make knives are real good. Personally I don't care for Colt knives they aren't up to my standards I don't think they will hold up well.

Jose, IMO, if you can get this blade for under $25, its a steal. As you said, having only a 10" blade, it'll hold up to moderate abuse. And it'll most likely bend instead of snapping if you do go overboard. I think it'd look good with some micarta scales in it as well. I say go for it! ....but, then again, I guess I should ask what it is you plan on using it for, first.

For the price I say snag it. I've had quite a few 420 and 440 ss knives over the years and they've always held up well. Although for some reason I have a bit more trouble getting 420 to take an edge, but that's using an accusharp. At $0.99 and 10.99 shipping it looks worth it. Micarta of anodized aluminum scales would look nice with it, or just go with a basic para-cord wrap.
