I started with ones made out of clothes hanger. They are great for use indoor using a cardboard target. What I like about them is the challenge of getting to stick at various distances throwing "no spin." But... I just had to have the "big boy's" version: They are made out of tent stakes. I will probably do more shaping to them, after I do some initial test. These are cheap, easy to make (you need a file and some elbow grease), and nothing like a nice stick into a target! Does anyone else practice with these? If so, what do you use for a target?

Have been trained to use them but mine were a hell of alot more hefty than these and as for targets, a good wood round is always good, except for the one I split when I drove a shuriken into the heart wood.
