That sounds like one of those fantasy novels that almost no one buys; I agree with you guys, the guard looks silly to me.

Funny thing is, I can remember a time in the not-too-distant past where I would've jumped all over this one because it looked cool at the time.

I do think that it's pretty cool; a nice blend of fantasy and functionality, but I'd have to hear more about it's performance before 'taking the plunge'.
