Just finished a shield I was fooling around with after checking out the Gaffer's site. Its made from 3 pieces of 1/4" plywood glued together and shaped on a press. Got the belts at a thrift store for $2. I forgot to paint the back. You should check out the Gaffer @ yeoldegaffers.com/default.aspLots of inspiration and knowledge for your projects.

Good work. Is it intentionally angular, though?

Good job! Very cleanly done. I can easily see you finding homes for any you might make in future. +1.

Thanks everybody. I had a lot of fun doing this project. The design is from my family coat of arms and it measures 26"L x 23"W. The angular shape was unintentional. I can't remember if I drew the shape before or after I bent it in the press. That might have something to do with it. I honestly can't remember. I picked at this in between other projects.

I like the looks and color. Actually the angular shape of the shield matches well with the straight line graphics. -gaffer

Most excellent robo! Thanks for sharing.
There are a few projects on that site I wouldn't mind trying myself. Just need to find the time.

Thanks Gaffer. You have been the inspiration of my last few projects.. I was on the brink of giving it all up. Selling off all my stuff. But I'm glad I didn't. Customization is so much fun. You get to work with different materials and see what you can do.!!!

Great job! This gives me an idea... My grandpa said no swords... But he never said anything about shields! And we got tones of plywood and planks! +1 from me for giving me inspiration. Hylian Shield here I come!
