Are the axes in the first two pictures the same as the axe in the third picture? The handles look different to me.

That looks pretty sweet! Almost looks like the axe is upside down on the handle. Like a mustache axe instead of a bearded axe.

That axe is made for throwing! A little over-rotating is no problemo.

You know, I think I might ask Steve what it would take to make an axe like this, except reverse the eye. Something like that I'd want a 3' handle on, but it'd be a helluva axe. Don't get me wrong, I respect the Mammen design, but I think this would be kinda cool.

That head would be devastating on a 3' handle, you'd open a Teutonic Knight like a can of Vienna Sausages.

I did pick up a Damascus viking belt axe from steve recently, I'll have a review up soon.

I don't know how the eye is forged, but the original Mammon Axe was designed to be flipped on the handle, it was on the way it was for being in your belt, the tip wouldn't poke you in the abdomen when you bent over or bowed, for use looking good in front of dignaterys........Sanmarc.
