There's just so many of them, and new ones appear all the time! Who makes all these? Like really, is there really some sort of machinery somewhere (like china ) dedicated to making every one of them? The manufactuerers don't even seem to have a name, let alone a website, so if you were a distributor how would you even order them in the firt place?

If you could make a sword for 2 dollars and sell it for 30, wouldn't you? Especially when the entertainment industry has saturated us with so many movies with "cool looking swords" that everyone just has to have one.

I've had a few emails from a few places in pakistan that are offering to supply me with 'swords'. And they do a model of every movie wallhanger out there too. Some even specialise in pattern welded. I got excited at their prices until I found out what steels they were using - stainless.

When I first started selling swords I (somewhat ashamed to say) used to deal in these, my tastes have matured since toward higher quality.
Most are made in China and Pakistan from cheap stainless. Many are sub $10, or even sub $5 USD at factory, but shipping can add significantly to the price.
The curious can find many of these manufacturers on Alibaba.com with a search on sword. Broken english via email will get you the rest of the way!
Regards,
Rob

I find that hanger replicas are kinda insulting in the world where someone cant get the stones to put a real one on their mantle or wall. Same goes for replica guns, isnt it really just a little wussy and weak to have a totally non functioning weapon on display, why even makes it cool it doesnt work.
Its like plastic roses, its like a nice fountain pen but no ink. Possessions no matter what they are should have a practicality and purpose more so a "replica" of a usefull item is really bottom scraping for approval.
