I know many cheap tsuba have gold colored paint on them. I'm thinking about customizing a sword when I get some extra money instead of buying a new sword and was wondering what kind of paint can be used on tsuba (maybe alloy, probably brass.)
I plan to try to find a tsuba with a classic japanese seascape and paint it with different blue hues to match the blue saya. Then send it to hiroshi for a nice blue silk wrap.

You could try enamel paint for model building and seal it with polurethane laquer.
