I was browsing the Gallery on Christian Fletchers' site and found this beauty gallery.me.com/christianfletcher1#101837&bgcolor=black&view=gridMust...have...(drools)..... I'm guessing this is a custom sword seeing as the only type XVIIIa in both Angus trim lines (AT-1520) has a somewhat different blade shape. Still...I'm putting it on the list. I wonder how much it sold for?

I think that custom uses an AT-1432 "Fat Bastard" blade. And there just so happens to be one in stock that Christian just listed yesterday, for only $450! While it's not the custom package in question, if might be a good start? www.christianfletcher.com/Christian_Fletcher/Atrim_Legacy.htmlI only know because I have been hearing about this "Fat Bastard Sword" for over a year, but this one's the first specimen that's actually been made in years.

Considering his custom work start's at $1,000 Not precisely; I talked to him about custom work a little while ago, and grips start at around 75. M.

Christian's work is pricey, but not as expensive as most people may think. My last commission from him was a very nice longsword scabbard, welding up side-rings on the sword's guard, doing some complex file work on the pommel to make it look historic, then antique finishing the whole package. All that was far less than $1,000. In fact, even throwing in the price of the sword (I already owned) it may have been just under $1,000. And this was a pretty labor-intensive project that included multiple risers on the scabbard, a custom color, and fairly expensive antiqued chape. Come on Chris... you know you want it... badly... it'll feel so good...and be so worth it... Damn, there's no emoticon for "evilness" ;D

Yeah, I think Christian still has some photography work to do on that one. That's the only photo available, no link to a gallery.

Actually if there is one sword of Shooter's that I really want it is the short bladed ATrim he has with the green wrap, just because I like diamond section blades without fullers and short blades.

oh you mean the 1557. yeah he's got two of those now. a matching green pair. *jealousy*
I a NOT Immune to the Mikeness, I plunked my money down on a sword without ever even seeing a picture of it because Mike said it was the best sword of that type that had ever been made (paraphrasing a little) and it isn't a cheap sword. it's about three times our price limit. so, yeah I'm infected look out, in fact I think I'm a carrier.

That you are, Tom. I almost bought the fullered Bastard from Hanwei after your review. My wallet can't handle having you and Mike posting reviews.
