Is it just me or does MRL have the SLOWEST loading website in the entire sword community!?!?!
No real point here - just venting, lol

I feel your pain. MRL takes FOREVER to load for me too, lol. I always thought it was just my computor, but I guess they have a super-slow site. -Slayer

heh - not for me. I don't run Vista.
I keep thinking I want to go check something out at MRL, it is so slow that I give up before it loads 3 times out of 5.

Takes a consistent 3 seconds to load for me. It's much (MUCH) slower than virtually every other site I visit (except the VA forum), but it's not really all that bad. Browsing the site is still bearable.

Hmm, I don't have any trouble with it. If you mean this one.

It takes about a half a second to load for me on Windows 7 in IE 8, which is a bit slower than normal for a website, true, but not that bad. Could be that it's just using a lot more memory than normal sites? How much RAM do you with the problems have?

I've got 4gb RAM with a 2.66gHz quad-core processor. I don't think MRL's site is THAT poorly coded.

Only takes a couple seconds for me with one gig of RAM on XP. Probably has more to do with your connection speed. I'm on cable. That stupid flash player they have doen't help any!

It's still not as bad as Christian Fletcher's website. I cry everytime I got there because it never seems to load properly or quickly on any computer I use.

It was designed on a Mac. What do you expect?

hrmm well I am running XPpro with 3+GB of Ram on a mid-range Dual core. Firefox browser. I have virtually everything in the background turned off. My connection is a 3mb/s dsl, so I doubt its that.
But MRL consistantly takes 10 seconds or more to load at first and each time I click to a new page within the site. Most other sites come up as near to instantaneous as my brain can process. Even Christian Fletcher's site is not a bother. I suspect it has something to do with whatever shopping cart software they are running... I see a link to that lingering in my "loading" message from time to time. Or it could be that flash player. Hmm perhaps I should see about updating that.

Is it possible that you have something in the shopping cart that you forgot about?

What is that strange language you all are speaking??? LOL, I hear ya, Sparky. I got one of those computers for dummies type books and couldn't understand that! Real ego killer let me tell ya. On the other hand I don't have any trouble going to Christian Fletchers site either, so I don't really care if I don't know why. ;D
