Where is the best place to buy tatami online? I was going to buy from nihonzashi but I would rather not have to use paypal. Are there any good alternatives?

Sorry man they usually come in bulks. Thats what I was trying to buy. Unfortunately it looks like I am going to have to use paypal to buy mugen dachi tatami from nihonzashi. They have the best deal on shipping. Even with shipping the price would only be around $100 for a box of 20. I'm morally opposed to using paypal because another forum I used to read had their servers in new orleans during katrina and they started taking donations for the red cross through paypal. Paypal though that disaster relief donations for the red cross was suspicious and froze the account with around $3000 in donations in it.

Why hate paypal? You can just use a credit card, dont have to sign up.

You could contact nihonzashi if they accept other forms of payments such as money order.

On two occasions, PayPal has prevented suspicious account activity on my behalf, and has enabled easy account transfers. it's a good business.
If you're referring to the account halting during Katrina, that is because of allegations involving embezzlement of relief donations; PayPal was hoping to prevent that from happening. The Red Cross has a history of absconding with donations.
