Hi folks! I figured I'd beg the advice of my fellow forumites and see what you have to say.
When cutting, I find that some bottles (even among water bottles) have thicker walls than others, and some soda bottles have thinner walls than others.
My question is, what do you cut, primarily?
I find myself using a lot of Nestle PureLife bottles, as I burn through them over the course of a couple of weeks and have a plentiful supply (30 bottles of water for 4 bucks at Sam's Club). I have a host of PowerAde bottles, but those are a pain, and mostly just get batted around. I use them primarily for thrusting, now, which my Medieval Knight Sword seems to want to due more naturally (it slides through a bottle like it wasn't even there. No resistance).
Anyway, thanks guys! Additionally, any other recommended targets would be wonderful. I was thinking of maybe doing a Fall Special video with pumpkins and gourds. Any experience? Thanks!!

I usually just save up the many milk jugs my family goes through... When I cut my supply of lil soda or water bottles is usually minimal. But I think the poland spring bottles tend to have thinner walls, and are one of the cheaper bottled waters to get.

When I'm needing a meal, quick and on the go, I stop down at my local gas station and get this stuff called "Muscle Milk" low sugar, high protein type drink. Anyway, it comes in a plastic bottle that is plastic number 7 (If you look on the bottom and see that recyle marking theres usually a number in there that tells you what type of plastic it is.
I've found these bottles to be AWESOME to cut! I thought they'd be resistant to cutting as they have a rather thick bottle wall, but apparently that type of plastic cuts very nice.
The problem I've had is with the 2 liter bottles, and it was only one problem where the bottle laughed at me, but we wont go into that =D
All in all, from my very limited experience in cutting, I'd rank the muscle milk bottles the most fun to cut and then the (Insert generic produce store brand here) value pack water bottles that around my parts I can pick up 30 for about 3 bucks. But getting a perfect cut on a 2L bottle is ALWAYS fun.

I usually only cut gallon milk jugs. They stack up through the winter at 3-4 a week and then I cut them in the short summer here.
I also cut close-out priced pool noodles and sheets of typing paper suspended from a line. I have some beach mats that I rolled with newspaper to try but did not get around to making a cutting stand for them yet. Got the mats off ebay for a couple dollars each including shipping.

I cut whatever I can find. I like a variety. I'm gonna have to break down and buy some mats.

If you want an easy, more for fun type cut try the new aquafina water bottles. They supposedly use less plastic now for the environment or something.
For a really challenging cut, the large arizona iced tea bottles (not the gallon size, just the largest bottles) are extremely thick sort of layered plastic.

Love those new aquafinas, so delicate, almost too easy like tiny milk jugs...juicy juice bottles are a challenge. More than I care to put my sword up to anymore. Not that they have been damaged, but feeling the shock in my elbows from a cut=more stress than is probably advisable. If I wanted to play baseball, I wouldnt use a sword.
