Still loving the story...the Chinese-inspired swords have very clean lines, they translate well. Keep it coming!

Clans of the Mallecoy Order Living a year with Kale and traveling with the scholar Fin for weeks had taught Kawthar a great many things. She had learned of culture, beliefs, and even foods of the Mallecoy Empire. She learned history, geography, and the proper speaking of the Common Tongue, as the national language of Mallecoy was called. But perhaps one of the most interesting issues - at least to Kawthar - was something she learned in Mo'an-ki, from her new friend, Captain Denn of the Halliber.
She learned from him that, like her own people, the Order of Mallecoy was made up of several clans. Five, to be specific. Each clan had its own color, symbol and specialties. These days they ranged in looks, though some folk were still able to be pinned to a clan by others simply by their appearance. Such was the case with Denn, or so Kawthar was told. But apparently the Halliber clan was easy to pick out from the others. They were light haired, fair skinned, and were usually large in stature. Denn was no exception- blonde, with brown eyes and his height was even greater than that of Kale, who was considered tall as it was. He was burly, a bit hairy, and low voiced. But, as was another trademark of the Halliber, he was quick to anger and even quicker to laugh.
The Halliber clan haled from the North, and their elemental powers, more often than not, was that of Earth. Their preferred weapons were either axes, hammers, or, as Denn wielded, a broadblade, single hand sword.
But Kawthar wanted to learn of other clans too - and she did. She wanted to know of her mate's clan, the Kumadas. But, Denn took his time. He went on to explain all four of the other clans.
First there was the Mallecoy Clan. The Mallecoy Clan was a mixed bag of warriors. Men and women of no particular clan of origin, but who still wished to serve their nation went to the Mallecoy Clan. They were the clan stationed in Harlen, the Capital, and because of the lack of heritage, their was no particular element that made up the majority.
Then there was the oldest clan, the Kumada Clan. Kumadas were made up of Nephilim, and many of Malecoy's greatest warriors came from this clan. The element closely associated with the Kumada's was Wind, and they mostly wielded swords designed for fast, quick, sweeping movements. Kumada's were known for their source of power, which was love. As angelic descendants, they were driven by a desire to protect - and it was in this roll of a protector that all Kumada's flourished. The stronger the bond between protector and protected, the more powerful the warrior was capable of becoming. Kumadas also had the gift of flight, like the Brood did. Some Nephilim, like Kale's mother, had physical wings of feathers. Others, like Kale, had the Burning Wing - wings of light. The colors of the light for the wings could range from red to silver to gold. The rarest of the colors was blue, which was Kale color, since Blue Wings were a sign of the Blue Wind. Most Burning Wings did not "bloom" until the teenage years, but once they did, they could be brought out at a whim, erupting from the back in a glowing display. Then, when not needed, the wings would disappear in a flurry of glowing feathers.
Then there was the Redwind Clan and the Highwater Clan. Denn mentioned these two in tandem because they were sister clans. Redwinds dealt with the element of Fire, while Highwaters were Water Wielders. Redwinds were known to be light on their feet and had perfected many techniques of scouting and reconnaissance. In wartime, the Redwinds were almost always the first to be sent in because their heritage in tracking and scouting. The preferred weapon of a Redwind was whatever they saw fit, much like that of the Mallecoy Clan.
Finally came the Archers and Healers of the Highwater Clan. This clan dealt with Water, and were scholars of the body - studying how to heal, cure, and even perform surgery with their water techniques. Combined with the power of Kcomite, Water had been used as a healing agent since the time of the Angelic Kingdoms. However, the Highwaters took everything a step farther with their studying of biology and the human body. It was the Highwaters who discovered how to release a common human's energy in order to wield elements through a kcomite weapon.
Kawthar did not bother to truly commit everything to memory. She had learned the clan of her man, and though she found it all interesting, her thoughts still wandered about the mysterious man she loved, and what clues of his abilities Denn's stories had given her.

Kcoräda, sword of Captain Denn Kawthar, Kale, and Fin stayed on in Mo'an-ki for over two months. Mostly, the time was spent searching for signs of the Gol, and of Ai, and any time there was left was spent by a fire. Fire was a ceremonial things for the Brood, and strictly so. At least that was how Kawthar remembered it back in the Homeland. However, here in the frigid north of the Wolven Mountains, fire was not only a common thing for everyday, but it was an absolute blessing. Kawthar, being a brood, hated clothing. She hated cloth on her skin and hated the constricting feeling it gave her. It was like she was half way to suffocating every time she put some on; and this far north, that was everyday. But indoors, especially inside the house Kale and company were given, the fireplaces were her sanctuaries of freedom. But eventually the search ended. Not because of lost hope, but because of a message. A messenger from Fort Henn came to the city and spoke with Captain Denn. That very evening the group spent dinner speaking with Denn about what was happening. In the three months since they had left Kale's home, the main, southern portion of Mallecoy had erupted into civil war. It was unthinkable for Kale, at least at this speed. Everyone knew the tensions were climbing with the rule of Emperor Val. The ruler's anti-slavery laws had been getting bolder and bolder everytime one was passed. Kale supported such things, as a being of flight, Kale was an advocate of freedom, period. But this...civil war? Apparently, as was the message, a demon was spreading fury and anger through out the pro-slavery folk throughout the Empire. This demon, seemingly coming from nowhere, had managed to become a leader in the rebellion that was threatening the nation. He had formed an army of men and reportedly had a demonic army in the works. Things were looking grim, and Denn was to return to Mallecoy immediately. And it was in that command that Denn asked Kale a desperate question. Come back. Come back? Back to the Order? Kale had thought of the possibility, but how could he? He was not the same man he was all those years ago. But Denn insisted. He could see it in Kale...see the return of power, the confidence in his step, and the heroic glow of his eyes. If anything, the return of the Captain of the Blue Wind would be a huge boost for morale. Kale did not say anything for a long moment of silence. Then, finally, he told Denn that he would think about it. However, he would return to Mallecoy with him. It was that part of the conversation that made Kawthar a but happier. She was heading South...into the warmer climate. Her miserable stint in this frozen city was over.

I'd buy all of these swords in this thread, great work mate, would love to see some more organically shaped blades as well though.

hey mate, it is just a preponderance of mine to like curves and subtle lines rather than crisp dimensions of the straight blade. I love you designes I'd just like to see what you could do with a curved blade with your program, or even a recurved blade
