Hello again!
I had more stuff to do today then I had thought, and it pained me horribly because the whole day was beautiful. But, durring the day I distracted myself with how could I get in some quick cuts that would be fun.
So I decided to try out a wide separation cut.
After watching the video I've decided that I need to spend more time doing normal cuts and improving my form. The edge alignment was a little off, or so I think.

At least you cut them. I just started cutting a week ago and I am not very good. I have improved a lot with my VA longsword, but I can't cut with my H/T Norman for my life.

Hello Veldruk Thanks for sharing your cuts again. However, I don't think your form is completely off, I have seen worse, much worse. As long as you are very careful not tearing off someone's arm, leg, eye, ear, ect (including yours) and having fun cutting those bottles, you don't need much more to be a backyard cutter. However, wanting to improve your form is a good thing, having better form will allow you to safely perform more complicated cuts and enjoy even more the pleasures of backyard cutting, so it can't be a bad thing to work. At least you cut them. I just started cutting a week ago and I am not very good. I have improved a lot with my VA longsword, but I can't cut with my H/T Norman for my life. Not cutting those bottles can be frustrating, but it sure helps cutting them more gratifying after Personnaly I always had trouble cutting with straight-bladed european swords (although I only wielded my Windlass Sword of Tristan, so far ...) and I heard some forumnite say that cutting with an euro requires some time to get done right. I hoope this will help you feel better about those uncut bottles.

Granted this is coming from a guy who hasn't even gotten a sword yet but it looked pretty good to me. If you don't mind a newbie saying so, I was pretty impressed especially when I watched it in slow motion.

I think I could have held the blade a little flatter on my approach, but let this be a lesson to ya when you do finally decide to start filming your cuts: Slow motion makes everything look cooler
