One is a Kris Cutlery celtic sword. Of course, it's not a gladius.

Besides the KC Celtic I know I saw the Windlass Gladiator sword and Mainz gladius as well as what seemed to be a Gen2 gladius and/or the KC gladius. All in all good vid, if you like gladiii I'd personally be interested in seeing how the new Valiant Armoury Actium and one of Albion's gladii perform. Then again, those Albions are pretty pricey, even though their Roman swords seem to be the cheapest in their Next Generation line.

That's five, Matt. The VA Actium prototype is a good looking sword, I'm watching that one with interest. If I could have one of Albion's gladii, I'd start with the Allectus.

Looks good, I wouldn't mind getting one but don't think I'd cut with them. But you have to love Rome so...I should buy one. To support ..Roman history *cough*

It's always fun to watch your cutting vids. I loved the Lakonian/Pugio vid, and now this to top it off.

Nice cutting vid... I'm not a big fan of gladius, but you sure do make 'em look good! ;D BTW, the Actium is supposed to start shipping next month, on the 22nd, if I remember correctly. Nice cross section of the genre, Riculus Maximus. ;D If you look closely, you can see which ones have a proper oval or hexagonal/octagonal sword grip vs. the ones that are round. With the first few swords you seemed uncomfortable with being able to keep track of the edge. And there were several unaligned strikes with each of those. Very interesting and informative...

Thanks, everyone. Good eye, Mike. The more I use good medievals with proper grips, the more I notice the difficulty with keeping good edge alignment with a round grip. Which leads me to the answer to the question which is my favorite? That'd be the Kris Cutlery pompeii (starting at 2:01). A tough beastie with a great octagonal grip that's easy to keep straight in hand. Also quite attractive in my opinion and comes with a good scabbard.
Chris, that one at 1:28 was the KC Celtic, not a gladius as Jonathan pointed out, an excellent cutting sword, albiet with a round grip.
