Everything I would say has already been said. I cut with most of my swords. I have steel blunts and wooden wasters and a pair of RSW longswords for various forms of partner and solo training. And a LOT of sharp swords. The only "sharp swords" that I have never cut with are three antiques. One is a thrust-only WWI officers sword. No good for cutting. One is a 19th century cavalry saber in unsharpened and unissued condition, so I won't sharpen it to cut with it. But I have even been eyeing the other 19th century cavalry saber with the eye toward refining the edge and using it for bottle and tatami cutting. Just a little edge touch up is all it needs... But lest this confuse my interests in swords, I will say that I could see myself owining and collecting a few swords that I never took the time to go cut with. Come to think of it... I think I have one or two longswords that I may have never cut with?...

I train in and instruct Italian longsword. Part of the training is cutting, so naturally, I cut. Everything I own that is sharp has been cut with at least a few times; however, I leave the heaviest cutting/abuse to easily replacable swords, such as Windlasses, PC/Hanweis, Cold Steels, and Valiant Practicals.
Even a Del Tin or ATrim cost a little too much to replace these days, not to mention an Albion or A&A - so I prefer to keep the mileage low on any of these blades. They get to cut a bit, but not too much.
The wasters I keep around for the students are six of the new Cold Steel composite hand and a halves, four Purpleheart longswords, a dozen or so shinais, and three VA ATrim I-Beams. All of these can just about expect to be replaced about 2x a year - except the I-Beams which seem to be holding up really, really well.

I cut with all of my blades, except some SLO's that obviously would fall apart if I tried to use them.

I cut with all of mine as well. I hesitate to say this but I have even cut with my WWII japanese officers sword, which I've been told the blade comes from the 1500's. It was only two bottles and I never have cut with it since, but man did it feel good! ShooterMike, don't you have a sword for everyday of the week/year? You would need some kind of check list to make sure you didn't leave any of those pretty ladies out of the cutting fun. ;D

I train and cut. Not with the same swords, most of the time.

I can’t claim I train as such, have don some JSA and some studying if long sword. But not enough to claim that I train.
In my view, the ownership and use of swords falls in to three categories.
1) low cost production swords:
use them as much as I want cut all targets hard and soft. I do not expect them to live for ever.
2) High cost production swords (Albions and the like) :
Use them but with more caution and respect to try and maximise their life expectancy.
3) Custom swords(not that I own any)
I view as more works of art, they are functional but I would only use them on the lightest targets and extremely sparingly. 4) Antiques:
Antiques are a finite product; once they are gone they are gone. It is something that has survived the rigours of time and while its in my possession I am its custodian, its my responsibility to preserve that object, and ensure that when I die it can be passed on to the next generation. The idea of using or sharpening an antic sword is a total anathema to me.

I cut fairly often, but train with a sword fairly little. As you can see by watching any cutting vids I've done. Though some of the blades I have I don't like to use that often. ( I throw axes alot more.)

I've cut exactly two bottles with my one & only sword. (Ok, y'all quit snickering & pointing!)
I'll cerainly cut more in the future, especially after I add another sword or two to the mix. I'd like to make a test stand & Pell and try some mat cutting.

I'm a backyard cutter, but I do not train in any martial or sword art. Actually, I'll be able to start cutting again in a week or so (hopefully). Cutting in AZ in the summer sucks! ;D Bring on the cooler weather!

I train and I cut. But I do not cut as part of my formal training.
As much fun as it is, my training is more important to me than cutting. It is but a small part of my practice.

Train & cut as well.
Train for the historical martial part and cut just for funnzies mostly, though I do try and incorporate some of my training form into it.

I cut with my swords, although I am terrible at doing so. A warrior must practice to become better.
