You're really not going to find a pugio that is both totally authentic and functional in the lower price range. That being said, I actually like the Hanwei pugio. It feels nice in the hand and looks good; it's not really historically accurate (the decoration is some laser-etched design, not an inlay of silver (or whatever it was originally), and the two shallow fullers aren't right either), but if you're willing to live with some inaccuracies it's a decently functional dagger. Now, if you're not willing to live with some inaccuracies, talk to this guy: www.swordsmith.net/Accurate, functional, and actually very reasonably priced, IMO...

Wow those are quite good. I'd agree reasonable for the quality also. I don't know if I read it right, but in the link that I posted above, is the shipping 80-sumthin Euros?
That's almsot as much as the weapon . . if I'm reading it right. Not used to that currency lol

The first one is a Deepeeka, and it's "somewhat accurate". The scabbard decoration is incorrectly done and there are a couple other minor accuracy issues; Deepeeka has a newer pugio that is much more accurate. The second is a Denix and it's not even steel, it's cast zinc.

Cast zinc is good for wall hangers; that's all Denix uses for swords that are hung in a 'family-friendly' environment. I say, just tell'm to keep their hands to themselves, or risk losing them. What was wrong with the Windlass one?
It looks like you want to get something historical on the cheap- it can be done, it just might take you quite a while to find a good deal. Having one made is the quickest way to go about it, it is also the most expensive but it would be worth it if you really wanted it.
