A while ago someone had posted asking about sword frog patterns, and I've finally uploaded the pictures for the one I made, so I thought I would share them in case anyone might find them useful. It isn't really the best frog ever, so you'll want to play around with different sizes and proportions for things if you try to make your own, but these pictures should work for giving you a basic pattern to follow. The pieces laid out: The pieces assembled: The frog attached to the sword:

Dye it with leather dye. The best source is Tandy Leather Factory and they have a bunch of colors in their spirit dye but their best stuff is the oil dye and I've only seen it available in black and brown. The oil dye is the only way to go unless you are going to completely submerge the piece in the dye. If you apply with a dauber, the spirit dye usually comes out mottled. The oil dye sinks in and spreads out to a nice even finish. Then you seal it up with something like Tan Kote. It'll darken up the color a bit, but not too much.
Eruialsul- A fellow leather craftsman I see. Simple and clean. Nice work!
