Just throwing that out there.... here ya go guys no need to thank me no need to hit that exalt button, just enjoy. . . . /index.cgi?board=cutting Edit: Sarnathed by GOD! (well by Richard of sword nation but the effect is the same) +1 to Richard for being on the same wave-length!

I can't help but laugh when I read the comments on his videos. Especially the katana testing videos.

hey Jon, you do know that Choson has his account set up so that the only comments that can be left on his videos are those that he personally approves.
can you imagine how much time he spends sifting through his comments awaiting approval. . .
you know what would be funny as all sin?
if everybody on this forum were to flood him with comments for him to approve or not that start out sounding like they are complimentary but then turn nasty at the very end or perhaps hidden somewhere in the middle.
oh I would laugh to beat the band if we could pull that off.

I was talking about the comments on Paul's videos, but the C-Ninja comments are even funnier. I should go to a few of Mr. Park's videos and do some trolling.

Parks is troll-proofed.
but yeah I agree Paul gets some funny comments too.

in a startling shift BACK to the real topic of this thread I would like to give credit where credit is due: you may notice that Mr. Parks was the voice of reason and tollerence in that discussion which leads me to point out further that no-one is entirely evil no matter how much of a Darth Vader they appear to be most of the time.
also that was a related topic for me as well. interesting.

There are ways of subtle trolling that he may think are honest comments from dumb fans.

you see Jonathan, great minds DO think alike (not to be confused with: "fools seldom differ")

Wait Tom, Darth Vader was good! His intentions were to bring peace and stability to the galaxy. Just that his methods were a tad heavy-handed.

he may have been good in heart but he was evil in action. also, you have to admit he did go through a very dark and evil phase for a few years.
wait isn't this a sword forum? ummm ummm lightsabers are swords right? and he used a lightsaber to bend others forceably to his will thus Lucas continued the symbolism of the sword as an icon of ruling power. Just as Choson Ninja uses his martial arts (sometimes including so-called sword work) to lead young minds astray but we can only guess at his motivations and inner heart thus leaving the question: is Mr. Parks truly evil or simply deluded?
HA! I did it I stayed on topic even while dealing with star wars and darth vader comments. I feel a little dizzy. . . such topical acrobatics are sure to make the head spin.

True Vader did go through a dark and evil phase - his heart was in the right place but he had not the patience to do it the "good" way.
Regarding lightsabers - I have to wonder about Obi Wan as in what happened to him? Didn't he keep up his swordsmanship on Tatooine? He went from being one of the foremost swordsman in the galaxy to being a stiff old man when he and Vader met again on the Death Star. Keep in mind that when they last met Obi Wan pwned Vader!

well I think you have to consider fighting styles not in the story lines but in the actors and crew of the movies themselves. when the first trilogy was done they did not have the same understanding of swordsmanship, it was of secondary priority and probably based on the fencing style of Erol Flynn and his ilk that influenced Hollywood swordsmanship for many years previous to the making of Star Wars. also the man who played Obi Wan was, well a stiff old man. much could be said of the character Obi Wan as well: he was OLD and had been doing nothing but hiding in a mud hut on Tatooine for something like 40 years. you'd get stiff too.

Yeah I suppose that is the case. Of course I'd admit I'd be a touch stiff too at the thought of rescuing the young princess after having not seen a woman for 20 some odd years. ;D Yeah I think it was 20 or so years he was hiding out as he gave Luke to his uncle when he was a baby and Luke found the droids when he was of the age to leave to go to the academy (I'd say what, 18 or 20?). Anyway if it were me I'd still be practicing my techniques, even if it was only with a big stick. A good swordsman never stops practicing...

funny how the guy went from being 40-something to 80 something in only 20 years. now THAT is science fiction! and yet another reason the second trilogy should have never been made.
and I bet even Choson Ninja would agree. if we wait a little bit maybe he will pop up Jonathan's Youtube page to give his opinion.
HA! once again this bucking bronco of a thread fails to throw me completely off topic! this is fun!
