Hey all would you believe my luck. while up i the attic looking for a rucksack to go on a trip i find not one but two yes two swords with sheats [pix to come]. When i found then a nearly came threw the celling although both are the same and could do wit some TLC. safe to say i forgot about my rucksack an took my find down out of the roof to get a proper look. i asked my father about them he plum forgot they were there. he stowed them away when my oldest brother was born over 25 years ago. will fill you all in with more details when i get to examine them closer.
Very excited Ginja Ninja ;D ;D ;D

Oh yeah, my host dad in america had such a sword. I didn't think you could use it for cutting even though he used it to hack at trees and such when he was a child. The sword actually survived all that. Still, I think it's more of a wallhanger. Those look a bit like ceremonial swords. Are they sharp?
Edit: I just saw the nut that holds the grip in place. That cries: wallhanger!! Can you hear it?

Are there any markings on them like Spain,India or anything else.Gotta be wall hangers look at how thin the crossguards are and your right I noticed the nuts holding the hilt on.I'd be afraid to use them but clean them up, cross them on the wall and they might look good anything more and you could get hurt.

Hello,
These are replica swords made in India around 1978-1980. They wholesaled for $10 each in the late 70's --early 1980's . You saw alot of them at gun shows and they sold for around $25 normally---at least thats what I sold a few dozen of them at ;D
Thanks matt
