So, I was recently unpacking for college, and I ran into my late-grandfathers combat knife from World War II. It is by far the best knife I own, and I was just curious as to weather or not anyone was interested in seeing a review of this knife done. This knife model can be picked up for anywhere between 20 and 100+ dollars on Ebay (they even have one in "unissued" condition, and damn that thing is shiny!) but it seems that anyone with a relative in WWII who inherits a knife like this would be hard-pressed to let it go.

It's spelled Camllius, if I were you I would made a nice display plaque for the the knife to honour your grandfather.

I actually have one of their Ka-bar knock offs. Hard steel that's a pain to sharpen; I've never gotten it "shaving" sharp.
I'd like to see a review. The company closed a while back if I'm not mistaken.

Cattaraugus and Camillus both did knife production in WWII. Cattaraugus: Camillus: While Camillus declaired bankruptcy in 2007, Cattaraugus has been out of business since 1963. How do I know mine's Cattaraugus instead of Camillus? 1. Design 2. It says "Cattaraugus 225Q" on the base of the blade.

I agree. Me too. Nice to see something new. Never heard of the Cattaraugus company before. They seem to have a bit of history. Apparently Admiral Byrd liked their products. I'd like to hear more along with the review. + 1 2 U.

If it's a Cattaraugus and used in WWII it has a lot of value to milirtary collectors I would stop using it.
