I see that deepeeka has quite a selection of polearms, raning from halberds, to glaives, to fauchards, etc etc. I know that as their swords go, their reputation is less than pristine, but has anyone ever tired their polearms? What do you guys think of them?

Held a few, un impressed and their wood is terrible. I know you dont need the hugest quality at the polearm level but they pay no attention whatsoever. if you can get what you want from windlass, A&A etc I would.

I know that cheaper weapons are often more desirable due to price but seriously if you are going to train or use your weapons at all, they should be the best quality. Note that I did not say they should be the best of the best, just the best quality for what you intend to do with it. If the spear or polearm is going to need to save your life at some point, then don't go spending $50 on a lack lustre product just because it is cheap. I have know guys who do wild pig hunting the old fashioned way (beaters drive the pig out of concealment, spearmen stands in the face of the pig and tries to skewer it), I have also known guys who croc hunt with spears (not for the faint hearted) and you need a damn good spear to pierce croc hide. You are better off going with windlass or A&A if you want good quality that will last you, deepeeka is sadly lacking in all departments and I am not sure how they are still in business.

Deepeeka's current reputation appears to be well-deserved; I have yet to see anything positive about the weapons coming from this company OTHER than that it is cheap.

It would be fun to hunt boars while riding a horse and wielding a spear, just like the celts of old.

Damn tricky, it was good practice for war too ......... you would have to be both an accomplished horseman and spearman combined

The spear was actually a more common weapon than the sword.
