Hi Everyone, For some time now I've been using an old blunted Shirisaya for forms. Lately I found need for my first cutting sword. Been lurking on the sword forums and got lots of info. You guys have been a wealth of information without the drama I've read on some other forums....Thanks! Ordered a Kaze Ko-Katana from Paul here at SBG. Should be in my hands soon. I'll give my .02 a few days after. Once it warms up to me, that is. Again, Thanks and See Ya, Steve

Hello.
I am curious as to why you decided on that blade. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but for me, it would be way short.
It is always interesting to hear the thought process that goes into choosing a new blade.

Oogway-- I bought a Kaze Ko too and it is short. Not to jack this thread but it was sort of a thought evoking qeustion to pose and thought you might like more than one answer. Maybe this is a good topic for a new thread. Mods? What say you?
I like it because it is light, fast and sharp. And because it is a two handed wak. When I was a kid with a wall hanger daisho, the kat was too long to swing around in my room without breaking things so I used the wak and my hands were small enough to fit both on the handle. Think that may be why it appealed to me to begin with.
