Hey, everyone. The StrongBlade Sword of Tristan is apparently on closeout! It's from some movie or another, I'm not really sure, but it IS from a movie. Also, it's manufactured by Paul Chen's Hanwei forge, so that kind of rules out the possibility of it being a cheap SLO. In fact, you can find a review of this sword here on SBG. Check it out: /index.cgi?board=swordreviews&action=display&thread=6143&page=1 Anyway, this sword normally retails at $339 + S&H, with an optional scabbard for extra $. Well......... not anymore. think you can guess the new price? C'mon, you can do it.... Oh well. Call me impatient, but I'll just go ahead and tell you. The new (and certainly improved : price is a much more reasonable $164!!!! Here's a link for ya: www.strongblade.com/prod/sb-sd-sword.htmlIf it were me, I'd grab the scabbard for another $60, but that's probably just me. You could always make your own. So, there you have it. I just stumbled upon this yesterday, and I thought that some of you may be interested. If you get it, I'd love to hear how it turns out! ;D -Slayer

I'm a big fan of the movie, so is my wife which is why I got her the stardust pendant for her bday, I'm tempted to get this one in nature of its collectable value and the controversy of its release all that time ago. Plus being a usable (albiet unwieldy) Hanwei doesnt hurt either.

Phillip, that is a much more important purchase, no matter who its by- when its for the wife, it takes precedence. If only so you can continue expanding your own collection. LOL
I'm not a fan of this...thing, either.
