I was wondering if anyone had experience with this: kultofathena.com/product~item~2600.htmIt looks a bit silly, but is highly archetypal of your usual fantasy axe. I considered getting one, sometime, if only for kicks. M.

Hmm... Ritter Steel. I'm not a fan of Ritter Steel but only because of my experience with their katana. I don't know much of their western arms but if the fit and finish is the same as in their katana I wouldn't go for it. Personally I'd suggest this if you wanted a double bladed axe: www.cashanwei.com/product_details.asp?id=XH1074You should be able to find it for less than what KOA wants for the Ritter Steel axe.

If you're interested in just having an axe for looks or even some light cutting, the hanwei would be a bit better. Wingwinti has the hanwei for $125. The handle on the ritter doesn't look like it would up as well as the Hanwei. Just my opinion. Heres a link to Wings page. www.wiwingtiswordsupply.com/axesmaces.html

Doesn't marc (wing) do price matching? You could show him the plum run axe price and see if he can beat or match it.
