So, I've seen it's in the Last Chance section at MRL...maybe it will get at an even lower price with time...they usually do.
I own one and, while being quite flexible (as per Windlass standards, not ShooterMike's Arbedo noodly but a bit too flexible for a type XVIII, at least my specimen, other owners opinion might differ: see the review), it's still a nice looking, solid sword that handles very well (in fact: very very well, the balance is great, IMO) and it cuts like hell when sharpened with it's wide blade...
I would recommend it for those who like the looks...Apart for the relative "whippyness", I've been satisfied with it (short of getting the A&A) at the KOA regular price so if it gets even lower at MRL: nice deal, IMO. (Note/reminder: Windlass's swords are sometimes a "hit or miss" affair, as has been said often, from one specimen of a sword of the same model to another, there can be differences: but there is the return policy for those "miss" cases...). I intend on redoing the grip wrap and maybe a bit of reshaping of said grip (to waist it more) and I think it will be even nicer...we'll see, I'll post when done...
All in all: I like mine and if it can be had for cheap and you like the type and looks, I'd say: "go for it".

Ditto with that mate. The Erbach is the first proper sword I ever got. I use it to practice German Longsword drills and she handles very well. A good cutter too

It is in the Deal of the Day at MRL at 132,50$! An excellent deal if you like the type of sword!
