So, here's my revue of paul chen's Small bearded Axe. First some pics, (Thanks Avery) So here is the Axe in all it's Glory, I gave it a slight polish as I'm not to fond of the rustic look. With out the sheath. Thunk!! So here's the Axe head off the stock, it is made this way for easy replacement, the stock is 24" long by 1 1/2" wide by 3/4" thick, oval in cross section, this makes it easy to grab and point, I think the handle is made out of Ash. Getting ready to split some wood, the Axe head is 6 1/2"by5 1/4" and is about two and a half pounds, Did I say it was sharp! Split the wood real easy one handed. Making a tent peg. Pounding in the tent peg with the hammer flat on the back side of the Axe. Peg in the ground, this is the type of ground we have to put in tent pegs at events!!!!!!! Now a fire starter, this Axe is the right size for camp, can split small wood or kindling to fire starter...Nice. Did I say you can throw it!!!! This is about the biggest size Axe you will want to comfortably throw, At five paces it hit with the top point. My ugly mug with Axe and Sax!!!!!!!..........SanMarc (Thank you thorir for the use of the back of the shop) Long ship trade goods. You can get this Axe at Kult of Athena or Viking shield for under a $100 at time of this writing.

Nice review Sanmarc. How has the handle held up over time? I have the Hanwei throwing axe and I have concerns about strength over time and use. I love the pics, great job.

Ya the flaver saver is still growing, two years and counting!
Thanks Avery, the handles have held up fine, this is my third small Axe, and I have had two of the longer bearded Axe's plus one bearded that was this size, I had the opportunity to hand select the handles, so I got good ones from the start, If you are ordering from a vendor, then ya get what comes in the mail.
I am a sword and Axe pusher, Baaaadddd man I am......SanMarc.

What do you call a pissed off person with a Axe in hand? An Axeident waiting to happen!!!!!! Not to take away from your joke but i think in this context... "What do you call an angry Nord? an Axeident wainting to happen!" Is a little more suitable anyone agree???
