Hi Amatiych, welcome
An old Phillip Pines sword hey? Or is it Philippines?
No idea of the value. I guess it depends on the age. Looks cool but.

The marking is "Philip Pines" with large space between Philip and Pines (see images). A friend said it could be 50-60 years old judging by the blade.

I'm curious how one judges a blade's age just by looking at it... I mean I can say its got a lot of red active rust on it so I can say its experienced exposure to moisture and weathering. For how long? Well I've seen blades get like that with being exposed to winter weather for just several weeks.
Of course it COULD be 50 or 60 yrs old but not being an expert I couldn't tell the difference.

Well, if it's from the Philippines and it's stamped "Philippines" on the blade, I would suspect that it's a tourist item and therefore not likely worth much. I'm not very knowledgeable in this area though. It is a pretty neat looking blade.
For comparison, new reproductions are about $200 and actual old swords can be $400 or more.

The small space is just that, a small space in the spelling of Philippines, so the guy who stamped it couldn't spell, It is a tourist piece, worth about $50.........SanMarc.

the spacing between Philip and Pines is marginally larger than the spacing of the other letters but if it was stamped, then its the stamp that has the problem.
Hard to judge age based on pics, especially with so many forgers out there, some better than others, who can make a blade look aged using certain techniques.
Its a nice looking moro barong but authenticity can only be made by a full appraisal by someone who has knowledge of such things. If it were mine, I'd probably try and work something out with some of the more studied members of this board who collect antique weapons and such; like Glen or John Hopkins to name a couple.
