The magazine was of higher density roll, more difficult to cut than normal newspapers roll. And the broomstick.... well.. nevermind.

Lancelot. You are a madman That is some serious material to be cutting through. How is the edge on the sword after that cutting?

Cool idea, Lance. I love it. This is great. Now I know what's going to happen to all my old magazines.

No damage to the edge at all. I have to build a stronger stand for broomstick cutting though, and stand a bit farther from the target. I was too close that before my weight shifted fully forward, I had to swing to avoid hitting the broomstick with my head! But first, a stronger stand.

Mike, not all magazines are suitable for cutting. We tried to cut those glossy paper magazine and we couldn't cut any of them at all. When you roll the newspapers or any similar things, try to leave some space between the papers because once it gets wet, it swells. If it was packed too tightly, it would be turned into a brick rather than something substantial and challenging to cut.

Thanks for the info, Lance. I'm going to experiment with this ASAP.
