I ask to you, wise men, if you ever know anyone who sales historical accurate replicas of Celtic daggers/knifes. As a reenactor my main target is accuracy to history (500-300 BC) These are the true pieces (photos or drawings) and I'm looking for replicas (usable if possible). Price would be a problem if above 200€ mitglied.lycos.de/tgrb/leger_museum_delft_14_december_2002/12140024.jpg

The links to MyArmoury just give me "You are not authorized to view, download or link to this Site." And yes, I'm logged in, so I can only imagine the problem is with the link itself, sorry.

The only link that worked was the middle, It sort of look's like a roman pugio dagger, so you could get one of those and modify it for you setup...SanMarc.

I bought this dagger at the Atlanta blade show 2 years ago.It wasnt labeled as a Celtic dagger but to my eyes (maybe just mine)it looks like one. It's a heavy wide bladed knife with an unfinished center and the forked pommel along with the guard gives it an anthropamorpic look (at least to me).

Well, there are many talented people here who could make you what you want, I would post that in the wanted adds.
And a drawing of the embellishments would help greatly...SanMarc.
(I could make this)

Yes, I was looking around, and the Greek one was too narrow in the blade, Deepeka makes some that have the width and the pommel can be modified to suite......SanMarc. I think he wants the other one with the scales to have more detail.

it's not just about anthropomorphic hilt, it should be something made like an actual finding. or something that goes near to it

Does your kit look like its been on campaign already? Battle-worn if you will? I guess what sanmarc is getting at is that you wouldn't want a pristine blade to go with a kit that looks to have seen battle already.
At least, that is what I think he was getting at.

Thank you, yes, do you want the blade to look used, or do you mean "as found" like it would look like after it was found in the ground after 2000 years......SanMarc.

LOL @ that
khellendros, Tinker or Brenno might be able to hook you up, I believe they both do knives as well as swords. John Lundemo does knives too- you could check him out at Odinblades, but it won't be cheap. None of the three guys mentioned are cheap, but their work is impeccable. You want it to look authentic, one of these guys can do it.
