An odd thing has been happening to me since Paul begain his re-construction of the site. Now and then, going from page to page on the forums, my computer will 'lock up' for a second... and a new page will not finish loading... and I will have to close out of the page and log back in all over again. This does not happen anywhere but here, and only started happening when Paul begaing altering things around here. Am I the only one getting this?

It hasn't happened to me, however, since the new layout the pages have been a little laggy but always load in a timely manner.

Earlier I had a timeout trying to make a post, but that was the first and last incident.

I got the ol' IE so, maybe it *IS* an IE specific issue. Any of you that have been having trouble like me... do you all use Internet Explorer?

There are some problems right now with some of code running on the forum. Several areas are sending the browsers to never never land. I was running some diagnostics software on the site at work today, but the errors kept changing, so I assume Paul is in the middle of trying to fix it. Though, it appears that some java code is not configured correctly.
It is not specifically an IE problem, in other words, it is not a fault with IE, but some bad code is causing issues. I actually had it lock up twice with Firefox, but whatever changes have been is really pissing IE off :>) For those of us that code for a living we pretty much have to test all web sites (fun, fun) with all of the browsers, at the least Firefox and IE. Some things show up fine in IE and not Firefox, and visa versa, for the most part it is the result of bad coding (well in my case anyway).
One area that the code looks really dorked is in the cutting video area for some reason. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
I think with all of the comments, that Paul should feel good in knowing that this is one, well used site :>)

Here are some specific java errors that this site is now throwing.

Here is the actual code that is having problems from this site. This object is pretty much used on every page.
<script type="text/javascript"> <!-- document.getElementsByTagName("br")[0].style.display = "none"; document.getElementsByTagName("table")[0].cellSpacing="0"; var removeSpace = document.getElementsByTagName("br") removeSpace[6].style.display='none'; //--> </script>

I prefer Opera and haven't looked with other browsers loaded. Opera does not see the forum jump at the botton of the page in Author Mode but does in User Mode. That may be a preference setting I can adjust on my browser.
It is helpful if web designers view pages on all browsers, or even set up a sniffer to adjust for the browsers visiting (or at least mention blah, blah this site views best using...).
A default view and karma opt out elective would suit me. I clicked opting out on the karma at somewhere around the 500th post. The default skin was always there before but if it is not to be aailable, Opera User Mode pretty much strips all the uneeded stuff while allowing full function. As mentioned, the forum jump and someother links don't vview on a standard Opera Author Mode.
Cheers
Hotspur; I was viewing earlier this spring via MSNTV (WebTV jurassic classic) for the month of April between pcs. Mobile versions worked out ok

Probably most of these issues were due to changes taking place while I was working on updating the new look and feel. Though there are some that are still presenting a problem, such as the youtube videos, etc. Still working on some of these, but if anyone can find any errors with the code and offer suggestions on how to fix it that would be great. Otherwise, if any issues persist please let me know and I'll do my best to fix em!
