This is no video (don't have a vid-cam) and I don't have any tips, just a few pics.
Niece Erin was with us for a few days back at the end of May and she brought her Gen2 Chaos sword with her. We had a little time the last evening she was here for a little fun.
It was her first time actually using the sword we got her for her birthday last year, so she was really looking forward to it. After a few brief instructions from the resident "master", me, (which was really a case of the blind leading the blind),
she squared off for her first strike and did a nice job of bisecting it. Her second cut at the remains was a success as well. Then I put up the next jug and she accomplished something I have previously seen only as a gag in the movies: she cut the jug clean without moving it at all. Water leaked out of the cut, the suction of the draining water holding the top in place. Unfortunately, we were so flabbergasted that I plumb forgot to take a pic! When the water had finished draining out of the top half and there was no longer anything to hold it up, it collapsed into the bottom half, and that I DID get a photo of:
Here she is in the process of doing in another jug:
My wife got into the action with her Cold Steel Zweihander and chipped the pickle a few times.
I sliced a few with my Jin-Shi Dragon Jian, but alas! My good wife was having so much fun watching she forgot the camera. I have sliced up several more with that sword and it is a pleasure to handle. It is well on its way to becoming my favorite sword.
The next day, Erin departed for Ft. Carson, Colorado, where she and her hubby are stationed. He's in Iraq and she is in the active reserves (Engineers).
We will do it again the next time she comes up (August).
