So, as i pray...... UNLIMITED FAKE WORKS. Funny to see how low those fakes can go, i'd at least expect it to be a decent wallhanger, but it doesn't do even that.

You sure Excalibur is inspired by Gram, the sword from Germanic Mythology? I somehow got the impression that King Arthur was supposed to be a Celtic king from before the Anglo-Saxon invasion (although I realize there were plenty of Germanic raids before the end of Roman control.)
And someone mentioned Gram as a sword in a tree, wasn't Gram a sword Sigurd got from some skilled dwarf/black elf, or it's treasury?
EDIT: But really, realism isn't common in Japanese fiction, and the mangaka typically know little even of their own history, hence most of what's made is pretty ridiculous from a visual standpoint. Barring stuff like warhammers being gigantic, they even get katana wrong and the Western swords they draw are typically less realistic than what you see in Disney.

Wow...talk about realizing a 'dream' of sorts...looks ghastly to me but my tastes run toward the more traditional look.
Still...if it was what they wanted and they found someone to make it, they should have it, I think.

ok... So other than being slightly overweight, what exactly is such a rip-off about the Excalibur sword? I couldn't see a price and it wasn't stated anywhere on that page that it's "battle ready" or anything...

I couldn't see a price and it wasn't stated anywhere on that page that it's "battle ready" or anything... Well, I initially was insinuating that it was being ripped off of the Ollin custom. Apparently the custom was based off of some anime series, so I suppose whoever is manufacturing the wallhanger is ripping off the anime series. I mean, basing a custom is one thing, but specifically making money on a design that's not your own?

I do wonder if anybody holds the license to the design...

Right; if not, there's no rip-off to be had unless the sword is just cheaply made.
