I have yet to find a way to take mine apart.
So I randomly (after posting this) pick it up, and give the pommel a twist. It moved, but I'm not going to try taking it all the way off.

A Hanwei Scramasax? Not really sure if it's threaded or not... it dosn't look peened from the pommel... so It's likely threaded in some way, in which case you would just twist off the pommel, but I cant say for sure.
Edit: Random beat me to it, sounds threaded from what he said. You should be able to just twist it on and off.

Nobody's done it to my knowledge, but I'm sure someone has. You can be the first to post about it on SBG, though.

random. are you sure that the pommel on yours moves as mine dose not seem to want to budge. i dint want to go to hard on it as i fear that i will break it if it is not threaded.

It took far less effort than I would have thought to rotate my pommel. It also became tougher to turn as I twisted it back the other way, so I'm now fairly certain it is threaded, though there may be some epoxy involved.

If it won't come easily after you've already begun the rotation, don't keep going- at least in my case, when I did that to a wallhanger I was taking apart, the threaded end was frozen in the pommel so the sword's now a bust. Perfectly acceptable behavior with a wallhanger, but not for something of worth like the seax above.

Here you go: Beast of a thread, took several hard turns to get it off. Needs more glue. (grip will not be coming off in one piece, so yeah...)
