I particularly like when they say the sword is “sure to stand out in your collection”

/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=10595 Uncanny resemblance. I think i'm on to something here, guys The item name is "ninja sword". How don't you know it's the ninjato of the choson ryu?! Frankly, I think that if we showed it to him he'll actually use it as such

good answer pika,, i think that model was inspired from choson ninja ninjato they had to pay a lot to have the right to reproduce it but it seems that the investment was great

I can't knock'm for what they're doing...think about it; the majority of people who buy this sort of thing aren't doing it from a viewpoint such as what we share here; for them, it looks cool, they like it, they buy it, everyone's happy. So long as they're not advocating any backyard cutting or practice or 'light contact' (whatever the hell that means) I guess they're good to go.
That we think it junk is just par for the course- they're not catering to us with merchandise like that.

the problem man, to my eyes, and beleive me, it happen often. it already happened to me twice lol everyone who do not know anything about swords, if they go on a website, not naming any website here guys,, and they see real sword, can chop iron,ect... you know what i mean? they will beleive it and buy it. i did it and invested at the beginning 500.00 in four of them that were suppose to chop iron and bamboo and anything i want without a scratch, and realised after i discovered SBG that , with tests, they are crap. but beleive me man, everyone that were comming to my house were told,, look at this man i can chop iron with that lol and after that these sellers are mad at SBG and other forums for bad comments pffffffffffffffffffffffffff

Dear god, the description: I weep again. Seriously, though, the original sword is just...ugly. I rather like the idea of the "two-tone" semi-shirasaya, and if I had a modern custom I'd likely go with that effect for added pizzaz (except in this case where it appears to be some brown duct tape wrapped around the er..."tsuka" and "saya" with a strip of black (electric tape?) down the middle-ish...), but definitely not something to pick up and use, I don't care if it IS "tightly secured within the handle using three 1/4 in. steel pegs" or whatever. Also, is it just me or does that "kissaki" shot (tanto point my @$$. I'll give you a tanto point...) seem to show the blade as beveled on only one side? (ie. the side they shot the "kissaki" from appears to be totally flat, yet the other seems beveled ) It reminds me of a cheap knife I have, but uglier.
The...ricasso, I guess we can call it, both amuses and disgusts me.
Oh well, if someone thinks it's neat, let 'em buy it, hang it on their wall, but for goodness' sake don't let them touch it.
