Well, that particular instructor was teaching real traditional Tae Kwon Do with some additions for weapons practice (true TKD is a weaponless style) and some basic self-defense thrown in. The demo team was for a group called Martial Arts for the Handicapable run by Late Isshin-ryu Grandmaster Ted Vollrath. Grandmaster Vollrath was not the instructor in question and a man whom I have nothing but respect for. The incidents I am referring to were all done with out Grandmaster Vollrath's knowledge. However, about a year after I left the school an incident happened in which a student was seriously injured during a weapons demonstration. Grandmaster Vollrath called a council of all the local martial arts instructors that ran school and did an investigation on the instructor who allowed the injury to happen, Let's call him Sensei X. Well, it was found out that Sensei X had faked his original black belt certification although he had officially qualified for his more advanced belt rankings. Sensei X was summarily drummed out of martial arts in the area where this occurred. The council of Masters and Grandmaster Vollrath all petitioned the International Tae kwon do Federation to have Sensei X's black belt rank stripped. This all happened some years ago but the demonstration vid made me think of it. It sounds to me you got out in time.

Aren't concealed weapons illegal in California?

"Illegal" only matters if you're caught.

Looks even worse than the ninjato I made when I was 14, back in -83... but even then I had the knowledge to secure the tang in the solid birch tsuka with both epoxy and a metal mekugi. Can't believe irresponsible people like this is allowed to teach anyone anything...

I only live 2-3 hours away from him, there has to be some sort of legal action people can take against him.

Don't think so unless he hurts somebody or if what he teaches can be directly associated with an injury and somebody sues him...
The only thing is information, teach people that what he does is dangerous and is not resembling ninjutsu.
Effectiveness rather than tradition... my *ss. I'd fight his ninja to with my sharpened army showel, and he'd see effectiveness. Would probably chop his chair asparges better too. ;D

I noticed how every comment on Choson Ninja's vids is positive. Is everybody who comments on his videos mentally challenged or does he somehow delete all of the sensible comments?

You can set it so comments don't get posted unless you approve them. He's also turned ratings off, so feed back is all illusory, I presume.

Whilst I disagree with his materials and his construction methods I can see merit in some of his ideas if the construction were sturdier and some of the designs were a little better thought out. The tsuba throwing star is just plain silly, as for climbing on that sword, chances are the blade would unseat and you'd impale your scrotum, which wouldn't be a very ninja thing to do .

These are old ideas that were around in the early to mid eighties... Everything about the construction of that sword is wrong. The tiny blowgun, what use would that be? Why a knife at the end of the saya to weaken the construction? It's hard to reach unless it's worn on the back. A belt worn tanto is better. I saw in another video he was throwing file blades at balloons... It's all about looking flashy and knowledgeable, but with the slightest knowledge to ninjutsu and a bit of common sense his Nintaijutsu totally falls apart... Just like the eighties when the ninja craze started, and everyone could proclaim themself master. Because people didn't know better.

I still don't belive ANYONE who says they are a ninja, or study ninjitsu. To me... the bigest, best clue I could ever get that someone is NOT a ninja... is when they TELL me they ARE.

Yup, anyone who posts a vid on youtube has the option to remove any comments they choose. I'm sure his videos get absolutely bombarded with negative comments.

Ninjitsu has enough credibility issues without Greg Park running around with his brand of nintaijitsu. When people ask what martial arts you study and you reply ninjitsu you seem to lose all respect. I'm not a ninja in any sense of the word, I have studied ninjitsu that is it. I enjoy the background and the mythology of the ninja but I live in reality where men don't dress in black and climb walls in the dark of night by using their sword as a ladder and carrying it in there mouths like some anorexic st bernard. The only people dressing in black and climbing walls at night are those up to no good or military special forces.
