As I was looking at some of the Musashi Takeo katanas, I noticed that the geometry of the blade appears to be hollow ground, with slight convex edges? I thought that a katana with a hollow grind was not suitable for cutting. Maybe it's just my eyes playing tricks on my crappy monitor. Does anybody have any experience with the geometry of these blades?
P.S. Thinking of placing an order for a SS808bk tonight but I would love to hear anybody else's suggestions. However, I am trying to stay sub-100$ and these Takeo's seem to have some quality to them.

I have two of these... and they are NOT hollow-ground. They have a typical appleseed edge profile.
