I have looked around quite a bit, but have yet to find a site that has a good supply of smaller tsubas. I am very reluctant to outfit my wak with a larger, normal sized tsuba when it only has a 22" blade. I have seen some bery small tsubas I like, almost tanto sized, but they are made of very rough iron and wouldn't really fit with the aesthetics of the blade and such I think.
Any thoughts?

I guess you'll have to go Ebay. A lot of nice iron and shakudo tsubas for sale from Japan there, and if you're lucky the price will be reasonable.

I just thought of a smaller tanto tsuba I have seen that I liked. www.bugei.com/product_434_detailed.htmBut I was concerned about it maybe being too small, and the lack of a better picture of it. The Bugei and Lohman sites that sell it use the same picture. And it makes it very hard to really gauge how it would look

Too small as in would not a fit a wak at all? And would be too small to match up with the saya? Or too small for your taste?
I just want to figure out for sure whether or not it would -fit- not if it would be someone's ideal tsuba.

Have you ever considered just making one ? www.ausblade.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=385You can buy the jewellers saw and blades for next to nothing on ebay, or just drill and file.
