Is there a possibility they would replace the broken Katana? Absolutely, Loren stands behind his products. The sword is out of production, however I did not lose any cash at all. Loren definitely took care of me with first rate service.

By any chance would you sell this broken sword? If you want we can carry this via PM. I could use the steel and furniture.

That's great A friend of mine had a nearly $400.00 Claymore from Knight's Edge snap in half like that blade of yours, except he hit nothing but air with it Knight's Edge wouldn't replace it I will never buy any swords from them, even though I like that Claymore.

Marc Sorry about your broken kat, I think you change of direction is too extreme and it might disturb the chi and kama , you should move to Chinese sword first ,then India, Middle East and make your way back to European sword

Marc, I'll be by to pick up that Atrim 1508 from you... your not ready for full euro sword immersion yet. Don't worry, I'll take good care of her till you are. ;D

Hmmm..... even though Marc might be willing to go to the Euro darkside, the Chinese sword route has limited appeal since we are very restricted in our choice of "cutting quality" weapons. You either have to go the expensive custom route, or Jin-Shi that's about the only two options out there until Hanwei decides on a release date for the Scott Rodell designed cutting Jian. However, if Marc's willing to come to the nebulous of Chinese swordsmanship I think some basic training materials can be made readily available.

Marc, I feel great sadness for your loss. You are absolutely right, production swords are always at risk for these things. Even a well-tested blade can fail at any moment - that's why when cutting or teaching a new collector to cut - something I've done a bit of recently - I've made very sure to use proper "muzzle control" - you never know when your "beater" is going to get "beaten"... Even my current favorite, my SBG Custom, I try to have no illusions about... I know there are shortcuts taken that with a custom would just not even be considered. That's why I don't use my swords often or on anything harder than bottles. Someday I would like a custom forged blade, but I will probably not go higher than a rawblade or else just wait until Fatecaller is a master smith himself and get a sweet discount. Sam - amazing link. Thanks for that crazy lesson in blade repair!
